    Sitterly exists to connect caring pet sitters with pet owners who want the best for their animals and homes. These guidelines exist to keep our community safe, respectful, and trustworthy for everyone. By using Sitterly, you agree to uphold them.

    Be Honest

    Trust is the foundation of every booking on Sitterly. All users must represent themselves accurately.

    ·Only list experience, qualifications, and skills you genuinely have
    ·Use real photos of yourself, your home, and your pets - not stock images or photos of others
    ·Do not misrepresent your availability, location, or the services you offer
    ·Pet owners must provide accurate information about their pets, including any health conditions, behavioural issues, or special requirements
    ·Do not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person

    Treat Everyone With Respect

    Sitterly is a welcoming community. Discrimination, harassment, and abuse have no place here.

    ·Communicate respectfully in all messages and reviews, even when things go wrong
    ·Do not discriminate against any user based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic under Australian law
    ·Do not send unsolicited or inappropriate messages
    ·Do not threaten, intimidate, or bully other users
    ·Disagreements happen - handle them calmly and in good faith

    Prioritise Pet Safety and Welfare

    The welfare of pets in our community is paramount.

    ·Sitters must only accept bookings they are genuinely capable of fulfilling safely
    ·Never leave pets unsupervised in unsafe conditions
    ·Follow all care instructions provided by the pet owner, including feeding, medication, and emergency contacts
    ·In the event of a pet health emergency, contact the owner immediately and seek veterinary care if required - do not delay treatment
    ·Do not expose pets to other animals without prior consent from the pet owner
    ·Any incident involving injury to a pet must be disclosed to the owner promptly and honestly

    Respect Property and Privacy

    ·Sitters providing home minding services must treat the homeowner's property with care and respect
    ·Do not invite guests into a client's home without explicit prior consent
    ·Do not access areas of the home that are off-limits or not relevant to the service
    ·Do not share photos or information about a client's home, pets, or personal belongings on social media or elsewhere without their explicit permission
    ·Pet owners must ensure their home is safe and fit for the sitter to occupy during any home minding arrangement

    Keep Transactions on the Platform

    All payments must be made through the Sitterly platform.

    Do not solicit or accept payments outside the platform to avoid subscription fees
    Do not share personal banking details with other users for the purpose of circumventing platform payments
    Off-platform transactions remove the protections that Sitterly's payment system provides and violate our Terms of Service

    Write Honest Reviews

    Reviews help our community make informed decisions. They must be genuine and fair.

    ·Only leave reviews based on your actual experience with the other person
    ·Do not fabricate, exaggerate, or post reviews on behalf of others
    ·Negative reviews should be factual and constructive - not personal attacks
    ·Do not attempt to coerce or incentivise another user to leave a positive review
    ·Do not threaten a negative review to obtain a refund or other benefit

    No Illegal Activity

    Do not use the platform for any purpose that is unlawful under Australian law
    Do not use Sitterly to facilitate scams, fraud, or identity theft
    Do not scrape, harvest, or misuse other users' personal information
    Sitters must comply with all applicable Australian laws, including any local council requirements relevant to pet care services

    Consequences of Violating These Guidelines

    Sitterly takes community safety seriously. Violations of these guidelines may result in:

    !A formal warning issued to your account
    !Temporary suspension of your account
    !Permanent removal from the platform without refund of any subscription fees
    !Referral to relevant authorities where illegal conduct is involved

    We assess each situation individually and reserve the right to take appropriate action at our discretion. If your account is actioned, you will be notified by email at the address registered to your account.

    Reporting a Concern

    If you experience or witness behaviour that violates these guidelines, please report it to us. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

    All reports are treated confidentially. We will not disclose your identity to the reported user without your consent, except where required by law.

    Updates to These Guidelines

    Sitterly may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as our platform grows. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Sitterly constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
