Hi! We’re Laureen and Yassine, a French couple currently travelling and working in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. We’re looking for a house sitting opportunity in Brisbane for a few weeks. We’re responsible, respectful, clean and very easy-going, and we would be happy to look after your home as if it were our own. We both love animals and would really enjoy spending time with your pets, giving them attention, walks, cuddles and making sure they feel happy and comfortable while you’re away. We’re also happy to take care of plants, keep the house clean and tidy, and follow any instructions you leave us. We already have experience living and working in a remote Australian cattle station, so we are used to being responsible, independent and taking care of things on our own. We are currently flexible with our dates and would ideally love to stay for a few weeks. We would be very happy to have a chat, answer any questions and provide more information about ourselves. I have a six-year-old dog in my hometown in Korea, and animals have always been a very important part of my life. I believe that building a relationship with animals comes from trust, patience, and natural interaction rather than forcing them to behave in a certain way. Animal shelters in Korea are often in very poor conditions. Because of this, I volunteered to provide temporary foster care for two rescue dogs from a shelter until they found safe and loving families. I also rescued two kittens who had lost their mother on the street and cared for them until they were adopted into new homes. These experiences taught me that every animal has its own personality and needs time to feel safe and comfortable. I always try to treat animals with kindness, respect, and patience. I enjoy spending time with them, understanding their behavior, and creating an environment where they can feel secure and loved. I would be happy to care for your animals with the same responsibility and genuine affection.

Hello, I’m from near Glasgow, Scotland, and have just graduated from the Edinburgh University this summer. I’m currently travelling around Australia and thought house sitting would be a lovely way to combine travelling with something I genuinely enjoy: looking after animals. I’ve grown up with animals and have two family dogs at home, Pip and Rosie, whom I miss dearly while I’m away! I’ve also looked after friends’ cats while they’ve been on holiday, as well as caring for our chickens at home and my cousins’ horses. I’m comfortable around all animals, and am particularly taken by the geckos and lizards here in Australia. I’ve always loved animals and even considered becoming a vet, but realised that the clinical environment wasn’t quite right for me. I still really enjoy spending time with and caring for animals whenever I can, so house sitting feels like a great fit. I’m responsible, tidy and respectful of other people’s homes, and would treat your pets and home with the same care and attention I would give my own.
