Tropical Family Home in Katherine, Friendly Chocolate Lab

Welcome to our family home in Katherine, the gateway to the Top End and Nitmiluk National Park. Set on a generous block on a quiet established street, the house is a classic Top End home, single-storey cream weatherboard with a red corrugated-iron roof, a wide covered timber verandah, and a beautifully kept tropical garden full of frangipani, mango trees, banana palms, ixora and two tall feature foxtail palms framing the front lawn. Inside, the home is bright, breezy and very comfortable: cool white tile floors throughout, ceiling fans in every room and split-system air-conditioning so you'll be perfectly comfortable year-round. The open-plan living area is the heart of the home, generous lounges, a large entertainment unit, and sliding doors out to the verandah. The dining area sits next to a spacious modern kitchen with stone benchtops, a double wall oven, dishwasher, breakfast bar with stools and a leafy mango-tree outlook through the kitchen window. Coco is our gentle 5-year-old chocolate Labrador. She's the ultimate easy sit, friendly, affectionate, fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a lead and has never met a stranger. She is fed twice a day, fully vaccinated, microchipped and in excellent health. Hopper, our easy-going 3-year-old mini Lop rabbit, lives in a hutch on the verandah and just needs hay, fresh greens and clean water each day. Katherine is a brilliant base if you love the outdoors, Nitmiluk Gorge, Edith Falls, the Katherine Hot Springs and the Top End food and arts scene are all on your doorstep, and Darwin is a scenic 3-hour drive north. A wonderful spot to call home for a few weeks.
