Character Mid-Century Family Home in Broadmeadows with Two Friendly Budgies

Our home in Broadmeadows is a much-loved family cottage in Melbourne's diverse and friendly north. The house is a classic post-war weatherboard, single-storey with a low-pitch tile roof, sash windows, a mature established garden and a generous level block of lawn. Inside, the home is spacious and full of character: cream-painted walls, a beautiful retro mosaic-tile fireplace with a working gas heater, a vintage timber dining setting, comfortable grey linen sofas, oak-framed forest landscape paintings and warm cream carpet throughout the lounge. Pico is our cheerful 3-year-old male budgie (the bright blue one) and Roma is our chatty 4-year-old female (yellow and green). They live together in a large flight cage in the lounge and are a delight to look after. They simply need a fresh seed mix, fresh water and a sprig of broccoli or apple every morning. Both birds are healthy, well-handled and beautifully used to people. Broadmeadows is wonderfully positioned for exploring Melbourne's north: minutes from the airport, Westfield Plenty Valley shopping, the Broadmeadows Town Park and a short drive into the heart of the city via the Tullamarine Freeway.
