Charming White Weatherboard Cottage in Frankston with a Bearded Dragon

About This Home
Welcome to our much-loved cottage in Frankston, on the edge of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. The home is a classic Edwardian-era weatherboard, painted bright white with a grey tiled roof, a central front verandah with decorative timber trellis archways, original red brick chimneys and a generous leafy block. Inside, the home is comfortable, lived-in and full of character. Outside, the deep backyard is a real highlight: a generous concrete-paved courtyard surrounded by mature shade trees including a beautiful old fig and a leafy ash, raised vegetable garden beds and timber paling fences for total privacy. Spike is our 4-year-old Central Bearded Dragon. He lives in a large heated terrarium in the lounge with a basking lamp, UVB strip and a substrate of clean play sand. He is the most low-maintenance pet you will ever care for: a small handful of fresh greens (rocket, kale, dandelion, occasional capsicum) every morning, a quick mist of his enclosure and a top-up of his water dish, plus a few crickets two or three times a week (we will leave a fresh container of crickets in the fridge). He is friendly, beautifully handled and happy to come out for a quiet sunbathe on your lap. Frankston is a wonderful Mornington Peninsula gateway: a short walk to Frankston Beach and the foreshore, easy access to Mornington, Mount Eliza, the Peninsula wineries and an hour by train into Melbourne CBD.
