Our family home in Ballajura, in Perth's leafy north-eastern suburbs, is a roomy, sun-filled home that's an easy and enjoyable sit. The home features a classic warm cream brick exterior with terracotta tile roof, gabled feature with timber bargeboards, double automatic garage, paved driveway with diamond-pattern brick edging, two tall feature foxtail palms framing the front and a frangipani vine climbing the entry archway. Solar panels on the roof keep things sustainable. Inside, ducted air-conditioning, large white tile floors throughout, classic decorative white turned-pillar columns at the entry to the dining area, and a lovely flow through to the kitchen. The kitchen is bright and very well-equipped, white cabinetry, generous stone-look benchtops, gas cooktop with stainless rangehood, double wall oven with built-in microwave, large stainless French-door fridge and a long centre island with two black bar stools that comfortably seats the family for casual meals. A separate dining area with a timber table sits next to large sliding security doors that open onto a terracotta-paved patio and rear garden. Luna is our 5-year-old Cavoodle, small, fluffy, ridiculously cuddly and full of personality. She loves a daily walk around the local park and otherwise sleeps on the couch. Sunny is our 8-year-old Cockatiel, bright, talkative and a real character. He stays in his cage in the dining area and just needs fresh seed and water each morning. Both pets are fully vaccinated, microchipped and in excellent health. Ballajura is wonderfully placed in Perth's north-east, close to Whiteman Park, Caversham Wildlife Park, the Swan Valley wine region and only 15 minutes to Perth CBD or the airport.
